Born in Brazil, Marina de Magalhaes was captivated early on by the world of fashion, drawing inspiration from the groundbreaking work of Alexander McQueen and John Galliano in the early 2000s. Her dream led her to Milan, where she studied fashion design, before moving to London to pursue styling.

Starting her career styling editorials, Marina crafted a unique point of view that drove her into the heart of the fashion industry. She has since lent her expertise to prestigious titles like Stylist magazine and i-D, and has worked on numerous commercial projects and in costume design for feature films, adding it to her multi-hyphenate skill set.

At the heart of Marina's work is a passion for storytelling through fashion, with a special emphasis on documentary-style styling. She strives to bring the "outsider" into the fashion mainstream, crafting beautiful narratives that resonate with a wide audience. Her dedication to creating playful and engaging narratives has not only defined her career but also inspired others to see fashion as a platform for inclusivity and expression.

She has collaborated with leading photographers/directors including Paul Hempstead, Louie Banks, Nadine Ijewere, Rokas Darulis, Olgaç Bozalp, David Abrahams, Ronan Gallagher, Tung Walsh, Annie Lai, Catharina Pavitschitz, Marc Sethi, Nicol Vizioli, Manon Ouimet, Polly Penrose, Philippe Kliot, Liam Cushing and Jael Levi.

Her love for creating playful narratives got her to work with titles including GQ, i-D, Harper's Bazaar, L’Officiel, Nylon, Hunger, 1883, Schön!, Metal, Indie among others.

Alongside her editorial work, Marina’s clients and collaborators include: Louis Vuitton, Richard Quinn, British Airways, Apple +, Amazon Prime, Selfridges, Adidas, Mango, Zara, Ted Baker, Galantis, Hector Bellerín, Petite Meller, Maxim Baldry, Jodie Harsh and Alina Zamanova.
